Real Madrid came from behind to claim the Champions League crown in extra time at the expense of Atletico Madrid.

David Villa hits a tame pass straight at Cristiano Ronaldo on the edge of Real Madrid's 'D' and just for a moment there is real danger.
That sounds ridiculous, 80 yards from goal, but Ronaldo can score from there inside six or seven seconds. He burns down the middle but passes to Karim Benzema and the counter dissipates.

Sami Khedira is dovetailing nicely with Luka Modric in the Real Madrid midfield as he makes his comeback from a serious knee injury. You could see that with Bastian Schweinsteiger in the Germany midfield in a few weeks' time.
When that Real front three combine, you are in trouble. Terrific break down the right from full-back Daniel Carvajal sees him pick out Karim Benzema and he almost picks out Gareth Bale with a lovely touch - it just doesn't quite work out though.
Has the die been cast here? Atletico are sitting deep and waiting to hit on the counter.

Lots of Premier League eyes on Atletico goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois tonight. That could be one of the biggest calls in Jose Mourinho's summer. Does he put the Belgian in next season or stick with Petr Cech?

Thibaut Courtois is tipped to return to Stamford Bridge next season from his lengthy loan spell as Atletico keeper to challenge Petr Cech while Diego Costa may not be too far away from a move to rejoin him.
"Courtois is rated as one of the world's best young keepers and on Friday night Real's veteran Iker Casillas claimed: "Right now Courtois and David de Gea at Manchester United are going to be the two most successful in the future."
